Why do I need AdWareRemoverGold?

Why do I get the message "Registration Code Does Not Exist" when I enter my registration code?
This can happen if you are entering an invalid code. It can also happen if you mistype the code (many users confuse the 1 and i when typing). The best solution is to cut and paste the code field-by-field into the registration text fields so as to avoid typing errors.

How do I uninstall?
Uninstallation can be performed from 2 locations. In the Start menu, under Programs, find the program's start menu entry, then click the "Uninstall" icon. Also, you may uninstall by opening the Windows Control Panel and choosing "Add/Remove Programs." In the Add/Remove programs list, select the name of the program and choose "Remove." If the program is running at the time you attempt to remove it, you will be required to reboot your PC to complete the uninstallation.

AdWareRemoverGold found infected files on my system, now what?
Once the scan has finished, click “Next” in the scan summary screen. This screen lists AdWare files found by the program. This is where you can select files to be deleted, ignored, or backed up by checking or unchecking the boxes to the left of the file names. After your selected action is completed, the program will notify you of its success, or how many files, if any, could not be processed. To ensure you rid your computer of all infected files, you should also go to the start up manager tool and disable any unknown programs listed to run upon start up of your computer and click “apply”.

The program says it can't remove some of the infected files, why?
It's possible other programs, AdWare, or SpyWare were running at the time the system was scanned or during the file deletion process. The program will advise you to reboot your system and run the scan again. Before doing so, you may want to check your Startup Menu for any programs you don't recognize, and remove them from the Startup Menu prior to rebooting – sometimes SpyWare or AdWare can embed itself in your Startup folder, causing it to run as soon as your system is booted up. Reboot your system and rescan your system.

The program still cannot delete the infected files, what do I do?
Contact tech support. There may be additional steps required to remove some AdWare files. Since AdWare and SpyWare are constantly evolving to avoid detection and/or removal by AdWare removal programs, you may have a file that the most up-to-date AdWare removal programs cannot remove. This type of information is gathered for the development of future program updates.

I’m seeing an error message and the program will not start, why?
AdWareRemoverGold's installer does an excellent job of installing the necessary run time files, however, it is also dependent upon parts of Windows as well as files included in Internet Explorer. If you cannot start the program, update your browser and your Windows operating system to include the latest Service Pack. This can be done for free at:
http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/

By updating your browser and operating system, you can make sure that 1-you have the latest technology, and 2-any files that have been corrupted, deleted, unregistered, or moved will likely be replaced.

The Program worked initially, but no longer works, why? (An error message may or may not appear when it is started.)
It is likely that an unrelated program that used shared files that the privacy suite also uses was uninstalled, and that this program removed the shared files when it was uninstalled. To fix this type of problem, first try reinstalling. If this does not succeed, Uninstall (see How do I uninstall) then re-download the software and reinstall again.

What is SpyWare?
SpyWare is part of an overall public concern about privacy on the Internet. SpyWare is Internet jargon for Advertising Supported Software (Ad-ware). It is a way for shareware authors to make money from a product, other than by selling it to the users. There are several large media companies that offer them to place banner ads in their products in exchange for a portion of the revenue from banner sales. This way, you don't have to pay for the software and the developers are still getting paid. If you find the banners annoying, there is usually an option to remove them, by paying the regular licensing fee.

SpyWare can come in the form of cookies; information transmission, web bugs, and most are deliberately hidden so users are unaware of the SpyWare.

What is Ad-ware?
AdWare is any software application in which advertising banners are displayed while the program is running. The authors of these applications include additional code that delivers the ads, which can be viewed through pop-up windows or through a bar that appears on a computer screen. The justification for AdWare is that it helps recover programming development costsand helps to hold down the cost for the user.
AdWare has been criticized for occasionally including code that tracks a user's personal information and passes it on to third parties, without the user's authorization or knowledge. This practice has been dubbed SpyWare and has prompted an outcry from computer security and privacy advocates, including the Electronic Privacy Information Center.

What is ThiefWare?
Thief-Ware is software being used in an unethical or disagreeable manner. The term does not necessarily mean that the software is involved in outright thievery or other serious criminal activity as determined by law.

Some of the software mentioned places links on victimized sites for visitors to click on, leading them away to other competitor sites. Many site owners would say the software is stealing visitors, which makes ThiefWare an appropriate name for such services and software.

How do I register AdWareRemoverGold? or I've purchased AdwareRemoverGold, but it continues to ask me to register, why?
It is not necessary or required to register AdWareRemoverGold. If you are being prompted to register or purchase the program, you are running the free trial version. If you have already purchased the full version of the program, please uninstall the trial version (see “How do I uninstall AdWareRemoverGold?”) then reinstall the FULL version of the program via the download link provided at time of purchase.

After I run the scan, it lists the AdWare or SpyWare programs found on my system, but doesn't give me an option to delete them, why?
You chose to run the quick scan. This is a free quick scan of your system which will list major SpyWare, AdWare, or Hijackers on your system. The program has not been purchased or installed on your system, nor will it delete any files from your system.

After I run the scan, it lists the files to be deleted, but when I click on ‘Next' to delete them, it takes me back to the purchase screen, why?
You have downloaded and installed the Free Scan. This Free Scan will run an in-depth scan of your system files listing all AdWare and SpyWare on your system. It will not remove the deleted files, because it is only a trial version of the program. If you have already purchased the full version of the program, please uninstall the trial version (see “How do I uninstall AdWareRemoverGold?”) then reinstall the program via the download link provided at time of purchase and within the email receipt.

I've installed AdWareRemoverGold, but I keep getting popup ads, why?
AdWareRemoverGold is not a pop-up blocking program. It is an AdWare and SpyWare removing program. As you surf the Internet, your computer is constantly bombarded with AdWare and SpyWare cookies, files, and programs. In order to optimize AdWareRemoverGold's functionality, you can set the program to run a scan each time your system is started, or each time you close your browser program, effectively deleting any Adware or SpyWare installed during your surfing session.
